Corporate Accountant

We are currently seeking an Accountant. Reporting to the
Assistant-Controller, the ideal candidate will play a key role overseeing financial statements and reports, you will responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING THE ROLE
- Record journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, review bank reconciliations;
- Reconcile inter-company transactions;
- Accounting for fixed assets and associated depreciation;
- Prepare monthly consolidation entries;
- Develop and prepare various monthly value added analyses;
- Provide high-level support to assistant-controller in certain financial analyses and special projects, example : FX analysis, capitalization of projects, etc;
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial analysis;
- Prepare quarterly and annual translated financial statements;
- Participate in the preparation of annual audit files;
- Participate in various special projects to improve the book closure process;
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls;
- Assist in the budgeting process by providing financial data to help the FP&A team;
- Communication and collaboration with various stakeholders, including management, auditors, and other departments, to provide financial information, analysis, and support.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial reporting within the organization.
WHAT YOU BRING THE PERSON
The ideal candidate has :
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or any related field.
- CPA designation.
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role involved with the full accounting cycle.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and their implications.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to details
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work well under tight deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion;
- Strong knowledge of Excel and ERP system.
- Knowledge of Workday Finance is an asset.
- Bilingualism, French and English.
