Nature & Scope
Trade Works is a 52-week employment and training initiative designed to provide Construction Craft Worker (CCW) training to up to 56 participants in four cohorts. Cohort 1-3 is located in Kamloops, BC and Clearwater, BC. The project supports participants in gaining essential skills, certifications, and hands‑on experience to transition into employment within the construction sector. This position has the primary responsibility for recruitment of participants, assessment and intake, facilitating employability skills workshops, supporting participants during the training, and providing follow‑up support. This position will be working with Work BC for direct referrals. Furthermore, this position includes community outreach in order to recruit participants, develop strong professional networks in the local community with various community service providers, and the employer / business community. A strong understanding of supporting individuals with complex needs to achieve attachment to the labour market. This position will support participants located in the Kamloops region for 3 cohorts and 1 cohort in Clearwater.
