Custom Builder

Our client based in Mississauga ON is seeking a Custom Builder to become an integral part of their team. The successful candidate for this position will have a custom design / building background, an ability to problem solve on the fly, and enthusiasm to learn.

Responsibilities : You will be involved in all aspects of production of our custom, unique, displays : -Complete custom builds of retail displays, tradeshow booths and signage using a variety of materials : steel, aluminum, plastic, ACM, wood, glass, etc.

• Ability to carefully follow project drawings, ensuring all tolerances are met;-Regularly using hand tools and CNC equipment (routers, saws);
• Wire low voltage (12 v / 24 v) lighting components (on job training provided);-Maintain production area in line with 5S standards;
• Complete quality control procedures on work you and your teammates complete; andRequiredHands-on building experience of tradeshow booths, pop up shops, retail displays or other experiential marketing assets (2+ years required);
• Completely fluent with written and verbal English;Strong work ethic and desire to improve / learn;Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills and an ability to propose solutions to unexpected challenges;
• Ability to work long-hours when needed to complete custom builds for deadlines;Experience reading blueprints and ability to follow instructions and / or drawings with minimal supervision, making sure all tolerances are met (3+ years required, 5+ years preferred);
• PreferredExperience overseeing projects and work completed by others (1+ years preferred);Welding experience and tickets (preferred, but not required);
