Description

The Technical Localization Content Specialist will have a key role on overseeing localization technology implementation specifically to support the expansion of French content, and other prioritized languages, on our corporate website.

In addition, this individual coordinate localization of global marketing content into French, and other prioritized languages efforts with Agilent’s external vendors, including language service providers, linguists, web development, desktop publishers, and localization engineers.

The Technical Localization Content Specialist will report to the Localization Manager.

Responsibilities

Ensure assigned localization projects (web, eCommerce, and marketing content) are executed on time, budget, and quality.

Manage queries and issue resolution for localization processes and systems working closely with the Digital and IT organizations.

Develop, manage, and oversee the implementation of Translation Management Systems (TMS), machine translation and AI-driven localization solutions.

Develop and maintain localization Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices for key technologies required for successful localization of content including Content Management Systems (CMS), Digital Asset Management (DAM), Product Information Management (PIM) and Translation Management Systems (TMS).

Continuously monitor new technology developments and propose MT and AI solutions to optimize localization processes, as well as managing KPIs and Quality for the program.

Manage the maintenance of Translation Memories and Terminology guidelines and best practices, collaborating with localization vendors to ensure adherence to the company's TM and terminology guidelines.

Monitor vendor service level agreements and reports for key performance indicators.

Continuously assess localization processes and workflows to identify areas for automation and efficiency gains. Proactively research and implement innovative tools, technologies, and solutions to streamline repetitive tasks, reduce manual intervention, and enhance overall localization productivity.

Conduct in-depth data analysis to provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making, leveraging complex data to optimize localization strategies and resource allocation.

Act as a secondary contact for all presales localization projects for French content ensuring quality of deliverables and collaborating with internal clients such as Global and Field Marketing.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree or University degree in linguistics, computer science / applied linguistics or science or equivalent and minimum of five years direct experience.

8+ years of translation industry experience.

Proven skills in managing cross-functional projects and process management / improvement.

Demonstrated ability to develop and manage stakeholder processes and relationships, including managing stakeholders to agreed timeframes.

Excellent written and oral English communication skills

French Native Speaker.

Proven technical knowledge of AI technologies applied to languages. Have user experience with new AI technologies (Machine translation, speech to text, synthetic voice over) and be willing to contribute to the program with their linguistic expertise.

Strong technical proficiency, including experience with Translation Management Systems (TMS), CMS (AEM will be a plus) and CAT tools.

Deep understanding of localization best practices, including machine translation, terminology management, translation memories and quality assurance processes.

Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive complex localization projects from initiation to completion.

Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation using tools like Excel, SQL, or similar. Highly desired experience with scripting languages (, Python).

Scrum and Agile Methodologies user knowledge would be a plus.

The Canada pay range for this full-time position is $89, to $111, / yr CAD, plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits.
