The Travel Consultant will be responsible for collaborating directly with the director and team tasked with managing the travel needs of over 6,000 employees, located in Canada, United States, Australia and New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities
Planning and booking transportation, accommodations and other travel services in Sabre (GDS)
Working with primarily Brandt employees to determine their needs and advise them regarding modes of transportation, travel dates, costs and accommodations
Providing relevant information regarding trips with special attention to accuracy and thoroughness
Providing a high level of customized corporate services to a variety of employees
Planning itineraries and providing excellent customer service
Researching and providing solutions to customer travel-related issues
Keeping up to date on industry developments
Reviews all reservations for travel policy and procedure compliance
Ensures all reservations pass quality control prior to ticketing
Supporting team members
Making alternative booking arrangements if changes arise before or during a trip
Providing advice on required documentation, passports, visas, insurance, etc.
Solid knowledge of domestic and international corporate travel, international fare construction, and airline routings
Providing updates related to local weather conditions, customs changes and attractions
Maintaining accurate records, collecting invoices and reconciling corporate credit card or cheque payment transactions

Bilingual in French and English is not required, but would be preferred

Required Experience
- 2 + years of experience with a corporate TMC, preference given to those with experience in Sabre GDS and / or a Travel School Graduate
- Familiarity with domestic and international travel
- Bilingual in French and English is not required, but would be preferred
