Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive, organized, and people-focused HR Coordinator to join our team. This junior-level role is perfect for a student or emerging HR professional eager to learn and contribute across a variety of people functions. Youll support recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, health and safety, training coordination, and day-to-day HR operations.
This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across the full employee lifecycle while being mentored by experienced HR professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Post job ads, screen resumes, and schedule interviews.
- Communicate with candidates and support a smooth, inclusive recruitment process.
- Prepare onboarding materials, coordinate orientation sessions, and ensure a warm welcome for new hires.
Payroll & HR Administration
Assist with collecting and verifying timesheets or hours worked.Support payroll processing by gathering required documentation and ensuring accuracy.Maintain up-to-date employee records and support HRIS data entry.Employee Relations & Engagement
Help plan and execute employee engagement activities (e.g., wellness challenges, team socials, appreciation events).Provide basic HR policy support and refer more complex questions to senior team members.Be a friendly and confidential point of contact for day-to-day employee questions.Health & Safety
Track and document health and safety training and certifications.Support incident reporting and follow-up processes.Help maintain compliance with workplace safety regulations.Learning & Development
Coordinate logistics for internal training sessions (e.g., scheduling, materials, attendance tracking).Help maintain the internal training calendar and employee development resources.Qualifications
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Human Resources, Business, Administration or related post-secondary program.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Comfortable handling sensitive information with discretion.Detail-oriented, eager to learn, and excited to support a growing team.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or other admin tools.What Youll Gain
