We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Manager, Software Engineering for Data & Reporting to join our platform engineering team.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technical leader with a passion for mentoring engineers, driving high-quality development practices, and delivering high quality and innovative software solutions.

As Manager, Software Engineering, you will play a crucial role in shaping our technology strategy while fostering a collaborative and high-performance engineering culture.

What you'll do : Team Leadership : Manage and mentor a team of talented software developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.

Talent Acquisition : Lead the hiring process for new team members, ensuring we attract and retain top talent.Strategic Alignment : Collaborate with the Director and senior leaders to ensure that software projects align with Achievers strategic goals.

Quality Assurance : Oversee the development, testing, and deployment of software applications, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.

Process Optimization : Drive continuous improvement in software development processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and quality.

Project Management : Lead software projects from inception through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope.

Executive Reporting : Provide regular updates to senior management and participate in strategic planning sessions to shape the future of Achievers initiatives.

What we're looking for : Proven Leadership : A minimum of 10 years of experience in software development management, with a deep technical background and hands-on coding expertise.

Team Builder : Demonstrated success in managing, mentoring, and building high-performing development teams.Technical Mastery : Extensive experience with programming languages such as PHP, Python, GO, Java, SQL, and other modern programming languages and technologies.

Communication Expert : Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with experience crafting detailed technical documentation.

Strategic Visionary : Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset to identify inefficiencies and drive impactful improvements.

Cross-Functional Collaborator : Experience working closely with Product Management, Data Science, and Business partners to align technical solutions with business objectives.

Architectural Innovator : Ability to see the big picture and contribute to defining the broader architecture of our custom platform, ensuring its scalability and effectiveness.

Engage in design / architecture discussions, and share your ideas while building the next generation of features for the Achievers platform.

Innovative Mindset : Think outside the box, use the right tools for your job.Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
