Project & Maintenance Coordinator – Camrose, AB
Perma‑Pipe in Camrose, Alberta Canada is hiring a Project & Maintenance Coordinator for our growing Canadian (AB & ON) team. This is a non‑remote position based at our Camrose facility.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Maintenance and Project teams to develop and maintain Capital Plans.
- Define and document project scopes, timelines, and deliverables.
- Source vendors and obtain competitive quotes for project execution.
- Facilitate the approval process for capital expenditures.
- Develop detailed execution plans and lead regular planning and update meetings.
- Work with Operations and Maintenance teams in Camrose and Vars to create a preventative maintenance schedule, prioritize and schedule daily, and project‑related maintenance tasks.
- Support the set‑up and tracking of critical spare parts for the maintenance department.
- Utilize proprietary software to manage and track maintenance (records, inspection logs and asset management databases) and project workflows.
- Coordinate all maintenance and project work by consulting with internal teams and external service providers.
- Source materials and services in collaboration with the Procurement team.
- Schedule and manage third‑party contractors, ensuring compliance with site requirements prior to arrival.
- Facilitate smooth handoffs to on‑site coordinators for execution.
- Maintain accurate records for maintenance, downtime, and production metrics.
- Report on Key Performance Indicators for the department.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports on maintenance performance from production and downtime analysis.
- Communicate updates between departments to ensure alignment on priorities.
- Participate in safety meetings, audits and compliance inspections.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Diploma or degree in Industrial Maintenance Engineering Technology or related field or equivalent experience.Three to five years of experience in manufacturing, production or industrial maintenance environment.Experience with computerized maintenance management systems or production scheduling tools preferred.Strong organizational, time management and multitasking skills with attention to detail.Excellent communication and coordination abilities.Proficient in Monday.com and Power BI.Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment.Problem‑solving, anticipating issues and providing solutions.Teamwork – works collaboratively with production staff and other departments.Adaptability – responds well to shifting priorities and production demands.Accuracy – ensures precision in reporting and data entry.Additional Information

Physical Demands : Requires sitting or standing, bending, reaching. May require lifting up to 10 pounds. Requires manual agility sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, telephone, and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
Work Conditions : Works in a typical office setting. This position may require working additional hours on an as needed basis.
