Grower Services Field Technician
Reporting to the Grower Services Field Technician Team Manager, the Grower Services Field Technician will be responsible for driving performance and consistency by executing the technical programs provided by the Maple Lodge Farms Grower Services model – a specialized system designed to support excellence in live bird production from hatch to slaughter.

What you will be doing :
Make daily calls on chicken farms to provide the technical consultation required to service chicks, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality birds to Maple Lodge Farms at the end of the growing period.Attend industry functions and meetings to promote Maple Lodge Farms.Monitor broilers throughout the growing period with a focus on the specific technical elements of the process (e.g., managing bronchitis, chick weights, etc.).Participate in Grower Services team meetings, either in person or via conference call.Communicate with all Grower Services team members and senior broiler planning specialists regarding the status of accounts and the technical performance of producers.Work with the Grower Services Account Management Team to manage a grower list, executing the defined grower service model and ensuring the defined technical requirements are met by all MLF growers.Coordinate in a team selling environment with the Grower Services Account Management team to provide the support services required by the grower.Deliver materials and knowledge related to the services provided and data captured at the grower barns.Collect and enter data as required by the grower service model.Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.What you will bring :
Minimum of two years of related experience and a demonstrated understanding of the production processes as it relates to broiler production, including hatchery, broiler production, feed and slaughter.Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), WHMIS.Understanding of fundamental bio‑security practices.Team‑player able to motivate others, negotiate effectively, and interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.Analytical with problem‑identification and problem‑solving capabilities.Ability to excel in a fast‑paced environment where attention to detail and effective multi‑tasking is essential.Post‑secondary diploma or degree in a related field.Maple Lodge Farms was established in 1955 and is the largest chicken processor in Canada.
