Job Title : Millwright Job Description

As a Millwright, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and safety of commercial vessels by removing and replacing engines, mechanical systems, and fluid systems. You will also perform comprehensive inspections and installations, ensuring all vessel systems are optimized and well-maintained.

Responsibilities

• Remove and replace engines, mechanical systems, and fluid systems of commercial vessels.
• Perform detailed inspections (TCI / CSI) on commercial vessels, including prop, shaft, cutlass bearings, packing, dripless seals, and through hulls and valves.
• Install new and additional equipment on vessels.
• Repair cooling and lubrication systems.
• Clean, lubricate, and perform other necessary maintenance work.
• Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation.
• Maintain a working knowledge of technological changes and repair techniques.
• Adhere to all safe work practices, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrate continuous efforts to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work processes.
• Work cooperatively to provide seamless customer service.

Work Environment

You will work both indoors and outdoors, often in varying weather conditions, and may be required to travel to off-site locations. Availability for a 24 / 7 schedule and overtime may be necessary. Safety equipment will be provided, and you must adhere to safety protocols. The role involves working in and out of vessels on land and requires a commitment to safety and quality.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, BC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00 / hr.
