$31.87 to $48.95 per hour

Qualifications :
- An Alberta or Red Seal Journeyperson Carpenter Certificate is required. Several years of teaching or mentoring experience in an educational or trades setting;
- Excellent skills with MS office;
- Excellent communication and organizational skills;
- Driver’s License,
- Criminal Record check.
Assets
- Experience in the field of trades or industry,
- Experience teaching adults,
- Experience teaching in aboriginal or remote communities.
Successful candidate must provide College or University transcripts, proof of valid driver’s license and criminal record check to Human Resources prior to commencement.

Position Description
Instructor Carpenter Apprenticeship Program
Scope of Work
This position is responsible for planning, preparing, and delivery of instruction and evaluation of learners for the Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training Carpenter Apprenticeship Program.
Theory and lab instruction is geared toward preparing students to write the Alberta Apprenticeship exam for progressive periods of the Electrical trade.
This position also includes administrative duties, liaison with community, government and industry representatives and working with other College departments.
The incumbent reports to the designated senior instructor or director.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Plan and prepare for instruction
- Delivery of instruction, addressing various learning styles and needs
- Evaluate and report on student progress
- Liaison with industry, government and community representative as required
- Work with other College departments to facilitate learner success
- Perform administrative tasks
- Assist in the recruitment and enrolment of students
- Track student attendance & interventions
- Submit reports and forms as required
- Maintain confidentiality and security of student information
Qualifications :
- An Alberta or Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter Certificate is required. Equivalencies will be considered.
- Several years of teaching or mentoring experience in an educational or trades setting
- Excellent skills with MS office
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
