- Analyzing existing operations, crops, livestock, staff, and financial documents and recommending improvements.
- Assigning duties, such as tilling soil, planting, irrigating, storing crops, and maintaining machines, and assigning fields or rows to workers.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures.
- Preparing plans and schedules for planting and harvesting and ensuring staff understands expectations.
- Issuing farm implements and machinery, ladders, or containers to workers and collecting them at the end of the workday.
- Providing agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting.
- Ensuring seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and other supplies are regularly restocked.
- Driving and operating farm machinery, such as trucks, tractors, or self-propelled harvesters, to transport workers or cultivate and harvest fields.
- Providing agricultural livestock services such as artificial insemination, spraying or shearing of livestock or disinfecting pens, barns or poultry houses.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, animal science, or equivalent.
- Additional courses in business management or administration are recommended.
- Team player.
- Extensive experience in a farming-related field.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Willingness to work overtime as required.

Salary: $25.00 - $36.85 per hour
