  • Develop culturally respectful educational materials, presentations, and reports to promote health initiatives.
  • Support data collection, tracking, and reporting for FNHA and Annual Program Outcomes, ensuring accountability.
  • Organize and promote community health events (e.g., Pap/sexual health nights, Naloxone Training) with a focus on cultural safety.
  • Act as a liaison between Public Health Nurses, community members, and external partners to identify resources and partnerships.
  • Assist in vaccine clinic logistics, including scheduling, outreach, and patient flow coordination.
  • Attend meetings on behalf of the Public Health Team to advocate for community-driven solutions.
  • Uphold wenáxws (respect) and snew̓íyelh (teachings) in all interactions with members and colleagues.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in public health coordination, community outreach, or Indigenous health services.
  • Strong organizational skills for program planning, data management, and reporting.
  • Ability to create culturally appropriate health materials and engage diverse audiences.
  • Knowledge of First Nations health policies (e.g., FNHA programs) and preventative care practices.
  • Flexibility to work evenings/weekends for community events and clinics.
  • Cultural humility and respect for Sḵwx̱wú7mesh values, sovereignty, and self-determination.

  • Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw Values – Be part of an organization that values Úxwumixw (community/peoples), snew̓íyelh (guiding through teachings), wenáxws (respect) and inclusivity.
