Position Overview

We have an opportunity for you to join our production team as a RT / UT Welder Fitter at our Cambridge, Ontario facility. Each member of our team plays a critical role in BWXT Canada’s success and in ensuring we meet our customers’ quality, cost and delivery expectations. Our RT / UT Welder Fitters perform all types of manual welding in all position on Company products to quality standards and perform fitting operations.

Your Day to Day as a RT / UT Welder Fitter

• Read and interpret route sheets, drawings, Shop Instruction Sheet (SIS), Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS), weld and rod cards.
• Plan and organize the RT / UT welding process.
• Identify and verify work piece material.
• Communicate with the team members and shop foreman.
• Perform basic fitting to a pre-established layout.
• Work in a safe manner, demonstrating good workmanship and practices.
