Elder Care Provider Wanted - Family Seeking Part Time Care

Job Description :

I'm seeking a personal support worker working in Victoria, British Columbia. I plan to hire an experienced person who has part-time availability. Currently hiring for Tuesday’s 11-4 with potential availability for on call hours during the week if needed as well.

Services And Training :

Our son (26 yrs old) requires some help with mobility , support with intellectual challlenges as well as managing anxiety. The ideal caregiver would have some relevant prior experience with neurodiversity. Must have BC Drivers license. We provide a vehicle for all shifts. Competitive wages based on experience.

Availability :

Tuesday’s (5hrs) 11-4pm

Supporting him one-on-one has been deeply fulfilling, not only because of the difference I’ve been able to make in his daily life, but because of the joy he naturally brings into each moment. Working with and supporting BG has been a very positive experience. He is incredibly sweet, smart, and enjoys playing card games, which has been a great way to build connection and engagement. We often go for short walks and have lunch together, which he really enjoys and which help support his routine. While BG does experience anxiety, with the right techniques and a calm, consistent approach, he is easy to support through these moments. He responds well to reassurance and structure, and it’s been rewarding to see him feel more comfortable and confident over time.
