Warehouse Person B-1

Description

We are currently seeking a Warehouse Person B to join our team of skilled professionals based at our brand-new Brampton Plant. This state-of-the-art manufacturing plant produces premium asphalt roofing shingles in a high speed, continuous manufacturing process environment.

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor, the successful candidate will maintain production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

·Safely operate a sit down counter balance forklift while maintaining a valid forklift certification

·Must be comfortable working outside in the elements

·Communicate with drivers to ensure the accuracy of the load as well as safety requirements for loading/unloading materials

·Identify where product is located in the yard and in the warehouse by utilizing the Lot Location system.

·Load/unload trucks

·Pick and sort stock using a forklift ensuring minimal errors

·Assist with inventory counts as required

·Guide truck drivers where they need to go in order to safely loaded/unloaded

Qualifications:

·High school diploma or GED

·Must have valid forklift certification class 1 license

·Must be able to read a pick list

·Must be able to work overtime as necessary, including weekends

·Must be able to pass a fit for duty Physical

·2 years forklift experience

·Previous experience with materials handling & distribution warehouses preferred

·Able to work independently as well as part of a team

·Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills

·Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
