Here's the role

The Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of database systems. This role supports application development, manages schemas, and provides data modeling and reporting support while aligning database practices with organizational standards and DevOps principles.

Position Responsibilities

• Maintain secure, high-performing database environments through proactive monitoring, tuning, and lifecycle management (upgrades, patches).
• Manage and optimize database schemas and structures across multiple environments, including consolidation, cleanup and maintenance on transactional and data warehouse databases.
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to integrate database changes into CI / CD pipelines and perform data modeling.
• Support application development by overseeing database object creation, table design, data management.
• Support and oversee backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes
• Support reporting and analytics by enabling access and integrating data sources using SSRS, Power BI, SSIS, and Azure Data Factory.
• Govern database security by managing roles, permissions, and scheduled jobs in alignment with organizational standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation of database structures, processes, and operational procedures.
• Configure and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Maintain an understanding of ETL workflows and reporting best practices.
