Reporting to the Central Bakery Manager (or his / her delegate), the Pastry Chef is responsible for the overall production of all bakery products (Bread, Cake & / or other Pastries) produced and sold at the Central Bakery or Store.

He / she is also responsible to oversee and plan of all ingredients, and prepare for production.

T&T Supermarket Inc. was founded in 1993 with two stores in BC. Since then, it has expanded rapidly and is now Canada’s largest Asian supermarket chain with 31 stores across the country : 13 in BC, 7 in Alberta, 10 in Ontario, and 1 in Quebec. The Company’s continuous expansion is going to bring more new stores in the next couple of years.

• In charge of the production of all bakery products include bread, cake & / or other pastries sold in Central Kitchen or Store
• Oversee and plan for all ingredients and dough for bread, cakes, rolls, mousse, puddings, sweet goods, batters and icings and frostings according to standard operating procedures or customers’ requests
• Ensure product quality, inventory level and wastage are adhered to the Company’s established standards
• Ensure the team accurately execute the baking production process (SOP)
• Ensure order and replenish inventory is done on a timely basis
• Provide guidance and supervision to the Bakery Production team, ensure fair distribution of work and ensure proper scheduling is done
• Provide training, disciplinary actions, corrective and positive feedback on staff performance
• Participate in new product research and development process, encourage innovations
• Manage and responsible for the cleanliness, hygiene, equipment, and tools maintenance follow up and workplace safety of the production area
• Responsible for answering customers’ enquiries
