Structural Designer - Vancouver or Calgary
We are a fast‑growing consulting firm redefining what’s possible in some of the world’s most complex projects. Our Canadian team is expanding, and we are recruiting a Structural Designer to join either our Calgary or Vancouver office.
About The Role
- Prepare 3D structural models and 2D structural drawings (steel and concrete) for mining projects.
- Interface with other disciplines (civil / earthwork, architecture, mechanical, piping, electrical) to ensure structural drawings incorporate other discipline requirements.
- Work effectively as a member of multi‑functional project teams.
- Perform site visits, inspect existing structures, and prepare drawings and sketches of existing structures.
- Liaise with engineers for direction, specifications and feedback.
- Maintain consistent design drafting standards across projects by communicating expectations and holding project members accountable.
- Participate in model reviews with the project team and clients.
About You
Diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology (structural or architectural).6+ years experience in structural steel and concrete modeling, design and drafting.Experience in an EPC / EPCM environment with mining or heavy industrial design is an asset.Proficiency in Advanced Steel is required.Proficiency in 3D modeling or other 3D modeling software is an asset.Site experience and shop detailing is considered an asset.Well‑developed written and oral skills.Commitment and enthusiasm for learning.Why Ausenco?

Salary range : $84,000 – $106,000.
Expected salary is determined by qualifications, relevant experience and market conditions for the specific role.
