Construction Engineer Structural

AECOM is looking for a Construction Engineer - Structural  to provide technical support quality assurance and structural inspection services during the construction phase of the NSWWTP project. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of field experience with a strong background in multi-disciplinary projects particularly in water and wastewater treatment plants. This role requires both site inspection expertise and technical structural design knowledge including proficiency in structural analysis and design software. The position is based on site in North Vancouver.

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct structural inspections to ensure compliance with approved drawings specifications and building codes.
• Provide technical support and engineering guidance to construction teams to resolve on-site issues.
• Review shop drawings RFIs change orders and field modifications for structural components.
• Perform quality assurance checks on materials and workmanship ensuring adherence to contract documents.
• Coordinate with civil mechanical and electrical engineering teams to address construction challenges.
• Monitor and document construction progress non-conformances and corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards including municipal and provincial building codes.
• Support project close-out activities including punch lists final inspections and documentation.
• Utilize structural analysis and design software to verify calculations and structural integrity when needed.
