Key Responsibilities
- Effective troubleshooting and repair of all equipment
- Respond to equipment breakdown calls
- Highly safety conscious with basic knowledge of cutting, welding and fabrication
- Provide recommendations for continual improvements and maximize efficiencies
- Maintain a safe work environment, complying with the Company’s Health & Safety guidelines
- Have experience in mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairs
- Experienced in completing preventive maintenance scheduled repairs and completing repair orders
- Basic computer skills and ability to refer to manuals for spare parts and diagnostics
- Must be able operate heavy duty service vehicle
- Must be willing and able to work both indoors and outdoors
- Must be available to work occasional evenings & weekends
- Able to lift 50lbs
- Other duties assigned
Qualifications / Technical Knowledge
Candidates must have their Heavy Equipment Mechanic License; proof of provincial license is required from Truck and coach (310T)Ability to prioritize and handle multiple daily assignments with minimal supervisionAbility to work with a team and independentlyBasic math skillsGood written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills in EnglishUnderstanding of schematics and diagramsExcellent customer service skillsExperience : 5 years (required)Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviors at all times, in support of Woodbine Entertainment Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiativesPrepare accurate service and repair reports in a timely mannerCustomer centric with excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skillsHigh attention to detail and analytical with excellent relationship managementWork with a sense of urgency and high standards to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environmentSelf‑motivated team player with high integrity and initiativeA valid Driver’s License with a clean Driver’s AbstractDiversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging
