Our global network includes facilities in Canada the United States and Hungary ensuring regional expertise and global Position:The Staff Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day accounting maintaining the accounting records for four entities handling remittances and other government requirements and working with Project Managers and Site Supervisors to generate project invoices & processing payments. Along with supporting the preparation of accurate financial reports in accordance with local generally accepted accounting principles and Eclipse corporate policies; monitoring and analyzing financial metrics so profitability goals are achieved; and maintenance of a comprehensive set of internal controls while delivering the Eclipse Vision and Entrepreneurial Youll Be Doing:Book general business transactions including but not limited to sales orders/invoices accounts payable accounts receivable and other journal entries in MS Dynamics 365 Business Central accounting softwareInput and process wire payments online bill payments EFT payments and account transfersAudit and verify accuracy of general ledger coding as it pertains to budget allocationPreparing monthly progress draws for work in progressPrepare monthly invoices & collect accounts receivable and make all bank depositsPrepare monthly bank and credit card statement reconciliationsAssist with Purchase order preparationAssist with the timely completion of the month-end reporting packages with Canadian GAAPAssist with Director of Finance and General Manager with fiscal year-endPrepare bi-weekly payroll and process all required payroll and tax remittances via Dayforce Ceridian payroll serviceComplete reconciliation between MS Dynamics 365 accounting & Project Manager job costsComplete quarterly remittance of HST WSIB and other government payments monthlyComplete year-end tax forms including T5018 Subtrade reportMonitor expenditures to budget and report discrepanciesOther ad hoc accounting duties as Were Looking For:Business Diploma/Degree specializing in AccountingChartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) or Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) designation or relative designations or certifications a plus3 years professional experience in an Accounting departmentMS Dynamics 365 Business Central (or Microsoft Nav/Microsoft Great Plains) software experience preferredExperience in automation industry or project accounting environmentSolid understanding of accounting and accounts payable/receivable principlesMust be detailed oriented and work well with a teamProficiency in MS Office - Word Excel Outlook PowerPointSelf-starter with a positive work ethic & able to see a task through to its conclusionExcellent organizational skills and focusMust be able to manage confidential material and information with We Offer: Reimbursement for tuition and professional dues Three weeks of vacation and three paid personal days (to start) RRSP matching program Free snack programWhy Join Us:Here at Eclipse Automation creation and innovation are at our core and our culture reflects that.
