Our Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is a critical member of the site leadership team and provides the functional expertise and foundational people support to safely drive productivity and engagement within our operations. We’re looking for a  Human Resources Business Partner to join our Heffley Creek division , located in Kamloops, British Columbia . This role is critical in ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality laminated veneer lumber (LVL), plywood, and residual products while supporting operational efficiency and safety. With approximately employees, Heffley Creek Division produces, LVL, Plywood and Veneer products, safely and sustainably while producing approximately million square feet of plywood and million square feet of veneer per year , for customers around the world so they can build their homes and their communities. Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications :

• Minimum 7- years’ experience as a human resources generalist within all components of the HR functions; ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• University degree or diploma in human resources or a related discipline.
• Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation is preferred.
• Continuing record of professional development.
• Strong working knowledge of labour relations , employment standards, WCB and safety legislation.
• Strong experience in a unionized environment with proven track record in interpreting and administering collective agreements, dealing directly with plant committees, local shop stewards, union presidents and supporting / managing grievances and arbitrations.
• Strong organizational , problem solving , and interpersonal skills .
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software.
• Experience supporting multiple divisions or departments simultaneously.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work in both team and self-directed environments.
• Ability to operate with total confidentiality, professionalism and respect at all times.
