Health Promotion and Wellness Advisor
Agilus is recruiting for a Health Promotion and Wellness Advisor in the Energy Sector in Calgary, Alberta.
This is a 13 month contract position ending July 31, 2025. The role of the Health Promotion and Wellness Advisor entails the development and participation of health and wellness initiatives, encompassing program and event management, policy formulation, and procedural oversight.
How you will make an impact :
- Supporting wellness strategies including health promotion, awareness, and education, as well as coordinating related initiatives and events
- Plan, execute, and manage complex health and wellness initiatives like mental health campaigns and health challenges
- Coordinate the implementation of new or revised policies, processes, and procedures
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to meet business needs
- Provide health and wellness expertise to business partners to support decision-making
- Coach and mentor colleagues and leaders in health and wellness practices
- Collaborate with safety specialists, employees, and managers to address psychological safety hazards
The successful candidate brings :
- Minimum of 5+ years experience in a Health Promotion and Wellness Advisor role
- University Degree in a related field
- Someone who is passionate about wellness, caring for oneself and others, and bring that mindset into the workplace
- Experience in corporate wellness or a strong background in mental health
- Creative thinker who can think innovatively, outside conventional boundaries, and is willing to take courageous actions
- Proficient in MS Office Suites, specifically MS Teams and PowerPoint
- Project Management experience would be an asset
- Must be able to complete the entirety of the contract
