Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Inventory Coordinator to maintain accurate stock levels, ensure the quality of incoming shipments, and keep inventory records reliable. The role includes coordinating logistics—such as transportation and customs—and providing timely support to the sales team regarding stock availability, expiration dates, and ETAs.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and count incoming merchandise to verify quantities.
- Report any damages, discrepancies, or non-conformities promptly.
- Update inventory records in the system and maintain accurate data.
- Conduct cycle counts, physical inventories, and make necessary adjustments.
- Monitor incoming shipments, track ETAs, and follow up as required.
- Manage inbound logistics, including scheduling deliveries, booking transport, coordinating customs, tracking shipments, and maintaining records (rates, services, tracking notes, and negotiations).
- Generate and maintain regular and ad hoc inventory reports.
- Support the sales team with critical stock information, including ETAs, expiry dates, and inventory levels.
- Apply monthly promotions in the system and update price lists.
- Take on additional responsibilities as the role evolves.
- While largely focused on analysis and reporting, the role also includes operational tasks such as receiving, counting, and data entry, especially during the initial stages.
Qualifications
At least 5 years of experience in inventory control or a related function.Strong analytical and data management skills.Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.Effective follow‑up skills for urgent or time‑sensitive tasks.Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and professional.Proficiency with inventory management systems and advanced Excel skills; experience with Sage 300, Power BI, or other BI tools is a plus.Background in distribution, manufacturing, 3PL, or retail, preferably in the food sector, with knowledge of product shelf life and expiration management.Benefits
