The Opportunity :
ML6 has partnered with a dynamic and growing manufacturing organization in the search for a Human Resources Manager. As the HR Manager, you will oversee and manage all human resources functions for the company across both office and manufacturing environments.
This role is responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives that align with the overall business goals.
The ideal candidate should bring proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and succession planning.
What You’ll Be Doing :
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent for both office and manufacturing roles. Conduct interviews, reference checks, and background screenings.
- Oversee the onboarding process, ensuring smooth integration of new hires into the company.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, and conflicts. Mediate disputes to ensure fair and equitable resolutions.
- Foster an inclusive workplace that values diversity and ensures a respectful environment for all employees.
- Identify and address training needs across the organization; develop programs to enhance skills and maintain the company-wide training matrix in collaboration with managers and employees.
- Promote employee wellness initiatives and manage recognition programs to enhance job satisfaction and retention.
- Oversee the performance appraisal process, ensuring clear communication of expectations and providing constructive feedback.
- Ensure compliance with provincial and federal labor laws, developing and maintaining fair and legally compliant HR policies.
- Handle disciplinary actions, terminations, and layoffs in alignment with legal requirements and company policies.
- Oversee employee compensation, benefits, health insurance, retirement plans, and payroll administration, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate with the safety team to maintain a safe working environment across both office and manufacturing locations.
- Lead diversity and inclusion initiatives, ensuring effective communication across the organization. Address potential language barriers between management and employees.
What You’ll Need to Be Successful :
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field. CHRL / CHRP certification is an asset.
- Minimum 5 years of HR experience in a manufacturing / office environment.
- In-depth knowledge of Ontario Employment Law and Regulations, including the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Experience in HR operations such as job evaluations, performance management, talent planning, compensation, employee relations, and talent analytics.
- Strong knowledge of payroll and benefits administration.
- Ability to collaborate with the management team to drive company performance.
