About the Program
Economic Planning Board is responsible for career readiness and future of work initiatives for newcomers to our Jamat. This member is a liaison between the settlement committee and EPB to help progress newly arrived Jamati members into the workforce and to upskill.
About the Role
We are expecting multiple murids from out of the country into Edmonton from FOCUS Canada as well as other sponsorship routes.
These murids will require EPB help with career ready program and financial well-being as well as housing requests. This member will liase between settlement committee and EPB for a smooth transition and to bridge communication between the two boards / portfolios.
About You
Previous settlement background or volunteer background preferred due to the volume of murids settling in Edmonton. Organized, and has good communication skills.
Dari / farsi speaking individual would be a great asset to ensure proper communication.
