MIG Fitter | Pressure Vessel Welder

Responsibilities

What will you be doing as a welder?

• performing MIG welding
• fitting, pressure vessel welding, MUST have experience with this
• grinding, polishing
• helping out in other areas of the shop as needed
• training others
• working as a part of a team to produce high quality products that are shipped all over
• paying strong attention to Health & Safety protocols
• working directly with a team member on large pieces
• showing enthusiasm for the work that you do on a daily basis
• performing quality checks

Qualifications

• able to pass a pre-employment physical testing
• can pass a flat MIG test
• can pass a written blueprint / weld symbol test
• experience with pressure vessel welding
• relatively clear criminal record (no theft or violent charges)
• tenure at your previous places of work is ideal
• ideally, you will have completed a welding school (new grads are welcome to apply), but not mandatory
• have a reliable mode of transportation as the shift does not work on the bus route
• MINIMUM of 5 years as a true welder / fitter, IDEALLY 7-10 years of experience
