Corporate Communications Specialist (6-Month Term)

Red Deer County is excited to offer a term opportunity for an enthusiastic and creative Corporate Communications Specialist to join our Corporate Communications team. Reporting to the Corporate Communications Manager, this role contributes directly to how the County connects with residents, staff, and stakeholders.

In this role, you will help bring County initiatives to life through clear, engaging, and visually compelling communications. You will play an important part in strengthening our brand, enhancing accessibility of information, and supporting meaningful connections within the community.

What You Will Do

• Support Red Deer County’s internal and external communications by creating clear, engaging content across digital and print channels.
• Manage and update website content, staff intranet pages, and social media platforms.
• Develop written, visual, and multimedia materials that reflect the County’s brand and priorities.
• Monitor media and digital performance, providing insights and analytics to support effective communication.
• Assist with event communications, promotional activities and community engagement initiatives.

Additional Information

Position Type : Temporary (6‑month term)

Department : Corporate Services

Hours of Work : Monday to Friday, 8 : 30 AM – 4 : 30 PM (35 hours per week)

Starting Hourly Scale : $35.92 – $40.43

The starting wage is determined based on the candidate's qualifications, including their education and experience, to ensure fair and competitive compensation for the position.
