Location : Hybrid work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.

About Kardium and the Globe Pulsed Field System

Kardium’s mission is to deliver the best treatment for atrial fibrillation. To achieve this, we have developed The Globe® Pulsed Field System. We have a strong technical team and key differentiators versus other solutions on the market. We have established connections with key opinion leaders who are using the Globe System and helping to tell our story. We have obtained FDA approval and begun the commercial launch of the Globe® Pulsed Field System.

This is a pivotal and exciting time as we bring this life-changing technology to patients.

Your role

UX / UI Designer Co-op You will work closely with Kardium’s UX / UI Team, Product Management, Usability, and Software Development teams to update and promote our design system and design new features / UX improvements for the software that drives user interaction with the Globe system.

Responsibilities include :

• Participate in a cross-functional UX team using lean UX & design thinking : understand the problem / user goal; investigate for user insights; develop design concepts; evaluate concepts for usability & feasibility; implement tested solutions; analyse & improve.
• Research and promote inspirational UX / UI design patterns, including competitive analysis and benchmarks from other domains.
• Create design documentation to support the design process (wireframes, conceptual designs).
• Design detailed UX / UI prototypes and mock-ups to test with users and guide software development.
• Communicate design guidance to product development teams.
• Participate in hands-on user feedback sessions.
• Design graphical elements and icons as part of the user experience.
