As a Project Engineer, you will lead capital and investment initiatives, from defining project scope to implementation, while ensuring compliance with the SQCDEE model (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Engagement, Environment).
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable technical solutions and actively contribute to the operational excellence of Yoplait Liberté Canada.
RESPONSABILITIES
Project Management
- Act as the lead engineer for all capital projects, overseeing all project phases : system design, cost estimation, equipment evaluation and selection, procurement, installation management and subcontractor coordination, commissioning, and performance monitoring.
Development, Innovation, and Collaboration
Develop and enhance system design and usage standards by integrating best practices and incorporating technical evaluations.Propose innovative technical solutions to achieve business objectives, with a strong focus on health and safety, quality, performance, productivity, and environmental compliance.Maintain close communication between the engineering group, plant departments (R&D, Quality, Production, Maintenance, Finance, etc.), and corporate technical teams to ensure best practices and project success.Technical Support
Provide technical support (based on experience) to engineers, supervisors, technicians, and other plant personnel across various sites.Profile
Bachelor’s degree in engineering and active membership with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).Over 5 years of experience in a continuous manufacturing environment.Proven experience in project management, including the execution of projects of various scales in the food industry.Strong knowledge of food industry regulatory standards (GMP, food safety, CFIA) and experience with CSA standards.Demonstrated technical leadership, adaptability, and ability to analyze and solve complex problems. Strong decision-making, communication, and teamwork skills.Experience working with plant technicians, management teams, suppliers, and external contractors or consulting firms.Good knowledge of processing and packaging systems, with a solid understanding of manufacturing, engineering, quality, and R&D fields.Why Join us?
