Job Overview

Term of App't : Temporary, Full Time (Monday - Friday, 7 hours per day)

Start date : Immediately

Reporting to : IT Infrastructure Manager

Salary

Classification 17, $32.73 – $33.74 per hour in accordance with the BCGEU Support Collective Agreement. Temporary employees in this role receive an additional $0.58 / hour in lieu of benefits, 6% vacation pay, and a Labour Market Adjustment stipend of $5.49 / hour.

Please note : Campuses are closed during the Christmas break December 25 – January 1, which is unpaid time off.

Northern Lights College supports one of the largest geographical areas of any post‑secondary institution in BC, with a wide array of systems deployed across multiple campuses. You'll have the opportunity to work with cutting‑edge technologies from Meraki, Palo Alto, Microsoft, Dell, and Polycom.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support systems hardware and software solutions
• Ensure maintenance, backup / recovery, management, security, and accessibility of mission‑critical enterprise systems and data
• Oversee the cleanliness and performance of on‑premises servers and systems
• Design, plan, and implement new systems in collaboration with the infrastructure team, vendors, contractors, consultants, and other third parties
• Provide support to staff and students regarding NLC's systems infrastructure
• Mentor IT team members in the use, management, and administration of systems, utilities, and resources
