What you’ll be doing

We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect, reporting to the Director, Information Technology, with a strong focus on software architecture and a solid understanding of IT infrastructure.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in aligning our software architecture with business goals, ensuring scalability and performance, while also contributing to the broader IT strategy.

You will be responsible for

• Lead the development and implementation of technology solutions architecture, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
• Own end-to-end solution design, focusing on software systems while maintaining a holistic view of the IT infrastructure.
• Advocate for and practice continuous integration, continuous delivery, Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behaviour Driven Development (BDD).
• Evaluate and improve internal business strategies and IT processes, with a focus on software development and deployment in a CI / CD environment.
• Create and implement comprehensive software architecture models to meet the organization's strategic objectives.
• Work collaboratively with IT teams to integrate software solutions with existing IT infrastructure.
• Provide expertise in software development practices and technologies, including Cloud-native architectures, and DevSecOps, Big Data, and Analytics.
• Assess new software technologies and their feasibility for integration into the existing IT landscape.
• Ensure the security, efficiency, and scalability of software systems within the organization.
• Mentor and guide teams in software architecture best practices and patterns, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

What we need from you

• Computer Science or Software Engineering degree or equivalent education and work experience.
• Certifications in software architecture frameworks and methodologies are preferred (e.g., TOGAF, SAFe for Architects, Azure Solutions Architect).
• 8+ years of experience as an Enterprise Solution Architect in an Agile environment.
• Familiarity with core Project Management skills and all Agile events working with cross-functional team.
• Solid understanding of cloud IT infrastructure components and how they interact with software systems.
• Experience in cloud computing, data management, and emerging technologies.
• Excellent technical, analytical, and project management skills.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, capable of driving technology initiatives.
