The Parts Technician is responsible for ordering, warehousing, inventory control and the sale of parts. Their duties also include identifying / searching for parts and equipment, shipping and receiving, and providing excellent customer service.

Benefits Extended Health & Dental Benefits Premiums Paid by Employer Employer Contribution Pension Plan Growth Opportunities Paid Training Long term job security Employee Assistance Program Telus Health Virtual Care Responsibilities Receive and sort incoming parts and supplies Telephone sales support Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in a warehouse, tool room, supply room or other areas Process incoming requisitions and issue or distribute parts and supplies for internal usage Maintain records of orders and the amount, kind and location of parts and supplies on hand using a manual or computerized inventory system Prepare requisition orders to replenish parts and supplies Sell spare and replacement parts for motor vehicles, machinery and equipment in a retail setting Post receipts, stock adjustments, request for credits and PR’s into computer Advise retail customers or internal users on appropriateness of parts, supplies or materials requested.

Fill customer orders from stock. Prepare sales slips or sales contracts. Keep track of backorders and follow up with vendors and customers Endeavor to increase parts sales and customer satisfaction through suggestive selling, use of coupon discounts and monthly flyer specials Ensure that product and service quality exceeds expectations.

Aids in the merchandising of parts Must participate in all training programs made available through Peterbilt or outside vendors Assist Parts Manager as needed Occasional moderate lifting of up to 100 lbs is required Qualifications 3-5 years heavy duty parts department experience Post-secondary certificate, diploma or degree Red Seal parts certification is an asset Good written and oral communication skills Strong personal organizational skills as they relate to workload, time management and setting priorities Effective problem solving and negotiating skills Effective conflict resolution skills Ability to promote service sales and expand customer base.

Solid understanding of the truck industry Compensation Rate $24.05 - $43.73 per hour Pay rate will be determined based on previous experience, relevant certifications and skill level Powered by JazzHR
