This short-term contract / temporary Collections Specialist position is available in the Paris, Ontario area. Responsibilities

- Manage all billing and reporting activities in line with deadlines

- Abide by all rules and regulations established by the Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act

- Guarantee payments are processed

- Handle inbound and outbound collections calls and correspondence

- Log all customer payments to the correct reports

- Ensure bankruptcy filings are processed in the correct manner when received

- Update customer files to ensure data integrity

- Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, including skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment

- Act as a company representative in upholding quality customer service and a positive company image by resolving customer account inquiries

Job Requirements:
- Command of consumer collections

- Foundational knowledge in billing

- Proficiency in customer service

- Commercial collections experience

- AA or BS/BA in Accounting preferred

- Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

- Prior experience working with accounting software

- Be able to effectively analyze and make decisions on customer accounts

- 2-3 years of prior high volume collections experience
