As a Senior Systems Analyst, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team focused on supporting large, complex projects across Homewood Health.

What you’ll be doing :
- Enterprise Application Support
- Maintain Hospital Information System on IBM I using RPG IV and ILE and provide on-going support to application users
- Maintain HL7 interfaces between systems
- Participate in testing cycles
- Fix issues utilizing configuration tools and predefined support procedures
- Project Management
- Act as IT SME on Enterprise Application projects
- Create and maintain appropriate technical user documentation
- Support the development of project charters and specification documents
- Manage relationships with clients, vendors and other stakeholders
- Systems Analysis and Design
- Regularly evaluate current state of the applications, identify aspects that can be improved and make recommendations for related change
- Analyze and define the scope of system requests
- Define length of request or project by phases with emphasis on programming, implementation, training and post implementation follow up
- Ensure design meets requirements, falls within scope of request and the team signs off on any design work
- Request and coordinate required resources
- Work collaboratively with IT colleagues in Service Desk, Clinical Informatics, Security and Database Administration to resolve issues and implement solutions
- Work with vendors and other IT team members to help identify and mitigate potential risks
What we’re looking for :
- Degree or Diploma in Health Informatics or Computer Science related field
- Minimum 5 years working in an IBM i RPGLE programming environment
- Knowledgeable in RPGLE, SQL, DB2, HL7 programming languages
- Experience with Infinium applications, including Financials and Procurement modules.
- Experience with maintaining IBM I systems, including performance tuning, security and backups
- Familiarity with other software / tools like DBU, Aldon, WDSc, IBM i Access Client Solutions, RVI ECM
- Demonstrated initiative and analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Experience with complex projects, preferably within a hospital / health care business
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with strong customer service
- Ability to manage competing priorities and requests
- Strong grasp of testing strategies and best practices
- Interest and willingness for continuous learning
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility to participate in the on call rotation Monday to Sunday
