Overall Purpose : The Program Support Volunteer plays a key role in helping the library create a welcoming and engaging environment for community programs.
This position is perfect for someone who enjoys interacting with people, supporting community events, and contributing to the smooth operation of library activities.
Schedule : Volunteer opportunities will primarily occur during school breaks due to increased program activity.
All interested applicants are welcome to apply.
Upon acceptance, volunteers will receive a six-month schedule, with the opportunity to extend their service (minimum 15 volunteer hours per six-month term).
Preferred Location : Burlington Public Library provides programs at six locations throughout the city.

Assist library staff with setting up program spaces, including arranging tables, chairs, and other furniture.
Help prepare and organize program materials and supplies before events begin.
Support staff with taking down, cleaning up, and returning furniture and materials to their proper locations after programs conclude.
Communicate any questions, concerns, or notable interactions to library staff as needed.
