However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well. About the role Nous cherchons un ingénieur en recherche de cause incendie pour notre Service de l’indemnisation. La personne retenue jouera un rôle essentiel dans le soutien de notre croissance.Dans le cadre de ses efforts continus pour mieux contrôler la gestion des réclamations et améliorer l’expérience des assurés lors de sinistres, Intact bâtit une équipe interne de premier plan en investigation technique de cause et d’origine de sinistre. En tant qu’ingénieur, vous serez donc appelé quotidiennement à : Aider l’équipe d’indemnisation à guider rapidement et efficacement le processus de règlement des réclamations liées aux incendies. Effectuer les mandats pour nos experts internes et nos experts externes et travailler en collaboration avec les évaluateurs en bâtiment. Rencontrer les assurés et bien comprendre les circonstances entourant leur réclamation. Vous devrez investiguer sur les sites des sinistres afin d’établir la cause et les circonstances des incendies. Vérifier s’il s’agit d’une explosion, d’une défaillance électrique d’équipement, de fautes professionnelles ou autre. Documenter les lieux, émettre et consigner votre opinion quant à la cause probable des dommages. En plus de consigner votre opinion par écrit, vous serez aussi appelé à intervenir pour contribuer à la résolution de conflits en cours de réclamation en apportant votre expertise technique. Participer à des expertises communes de pièces et de spécimens en lien avec la cause des sinistres. Consigner et gérer l’entreposage des pièces reliées à vos dossiers. Toute autre tâche connexe.Ce que vous mettez à profit : Connaissances recherchées : Le travail d’investigation demande une connaissance poussée des bâtiments, des méthodes de construction, des modes de transferts thermiques et des lois régissant la propagation des incendies. Par un processus d’enquête et de recherche, vous aurez à comprendre et identifier l’élément causal du dommage et à éliminer les autres causes possibles. Vous aurez ainsi à recréer la séquence des événements qui a mené au sinistre et à valider ces étapes avec les connaissances scientifiques à jour. En validant les hypothèses et en testant au besoin les scénarios sous étude, vous appliquerez la méthode scientifique à l’identification des causes de sinistres. Un baccalauréat en génie électrique, en génie mécanique ou en sciences appliquées pertinentes avec au moins cinq ans d’expérience est requis. Être un membre en règle d’un ordre professionnel relié au domaine scientifique pertinent est requis. Bilingue ( Français; Anglais) « Nécessité d’interagir sur une base régulière avec des collègues partout au pays » Compétences recherchées : Entre 2 et 10 ans d’expérience pertinente comme ingénieur forensique en recherche de l’origine et des causes d’incendie. En plus des connaissances techniques et des aptitudes physiques requises pour le poste, vous devrez communiquer avec aisance tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit pour la vulgarisation de la cause et l’origine du sinistre. Vous devrez rédiger des rapports abrégés ou détaillés lors de pertes importantes. Vous serez appelé à témoigner en cour afin d’exposer votre opinion d’expert. En ce sens, une expérience en assurance et en tant qu’expert devant les tribunaux serait un atout important.
