Registered Social Worker or Psychotherapist

Independent Contractor

4 hours / bi-weekly

Alternating between the Mississauga & Brampton Probation offices

The Opportunity :

In collaboration with the Ministry of the Solicitor General, we are seeking a Registered Psychotherapist or Social worker, to provide counselling services to assigned probation cases referred by the Youth Justice Services in Peel Region.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide clinical support to clients and consultative support to the open custody workers / leadership as needed.

Deliver services in person at probation office, alternating between the Brampton & Mississauga locations.

Services are provided within a transdisciplinary team model using a client-centered approach.

Follow the Government Counselling Services client services model and administrative requirements to the Ministry of the Solicitor General.

Qualifications :

Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.

Registered with CRPO or OCSWSSW.

Minimum two (2) years of post-graduate experience supporting clients in a therapeutic setting.

Knowledge of evidence-based techniques and interventions for high risk youths.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.

Minimum of 4 hours / week of availability for direct client sessions.
