Lab Patient Technician – Temporary Part‑Time Regular – Brampton, ON

Additional requirements : Must work all shifts, every Saturday, and Sunday rotation at another location

Responsibilities
- Greet patients, request required information, explain specimen collection process, and ensure compliance with test protocol before specimen collection.
- Perform phlebotomies, connect / disconnect Holter monitors, and conduct ECG tracings.
- Perform special test collections such as medical / legal drug screens, paternity tests, and clinical trials, completing related documentation.
- Maintain client relationships by responding to inquiries and following up on requests.
- Complete data entry of patient demographics, requisition information, and other details related to processing test results.
- Prepare specimens for transportation and testing.
Qualifications
Graduate of an approved Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent (preferred).Phlebotomy experience is an asset.ECG training or experience is an asset.Excellent communication skills.Computer skills with a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm.Strong customer / patient service skills, ability to relate to patients and clients even under stressful situations.Strong empathy, flexibility, adaptability to change, and problem‑solving skills.Ability to maintain strict standards of patient privacy and confidentiality.Compensation and Benefits
