WHAT TO EXPECT : We are looking for an intermediate to senior Back-End Software Developer to help us expand Leap with new online tools and content that will delight and engage users building quantum powered applications. These applications solve some of the world’s most intractable problems. If you want to collaborate on ground-breaking technology, this is your place!As part of D-Wave’s Leap Web Services team, you will help develop new features and maintain existing code for the Leap platform. This will be a great opportunity for an ambitious developer who wants to expand their software development knowledge and learn from experienced and talented developers. No quantum computing knowledge is required, but you will be given the opportunity to learn as much as you want about this next generation of computing.

WHAT YOU WILL DO :

• Participate in the full SDLC for Leap features, from requirements gathering, development, testing, validation, production deployment, through maintenance
• Assist in analyzing and optimizing the performance and scalability testing of core components and services
• Help identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues in the software
• Review code developed by other developers and provide constructive feedback to ensure best practices
• Work collaboratively with other teams to develop, maintain and support Leap
• Get the opportunity to participate in the yearly D-Wave Hackathon where you can bring new ideas to life

$103,300 - $154,000 a yearDuring the interview process, we will explain how our rubrics work across all our total rewards (base, equity, bonus, perks, benefit, culture) offerings. The base salary for this role is targeted between $103K-$154K CDN per year.
