This position is Hybrid with the flexibility to work from home and our Oakville, ON Head Office (2-3 days in office per week).

Siemens Smart Infrastructure is seeking a driven and dedicated Scheduling & Product Support Specialist (Internally titled : Internal Services and Product Specialist ), who will apply their analytical and interpersonal skills to create and execute a strategic master schedule for the manufacturing and delivery of new equipment across the entire value chain in Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze all manufacturing requirements from the Smart Infrastructure, Electrical Products Canada business unit requirements from sales, business segments, and management and create a master schedule
  • Forecast the short term and long term production needs of the business unit and collaborate with all manufacturing sites to ensure there is a viable delivery schedule and plan
  • Look for flexible solutions when there are competing priorities between sales, business unit, and manufacturing
  • Collaborate with sales and factory planners / schedulers on large complex opportunities
  • Handle intermittent changes to the master schedule should changes arise
  • Support product managers on product promotions and launches

What will you need to succeed?

  • B. Eng, B.Sc, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of production planning, logistics, or scheduling
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Experience with manufacturing with a focus on scheduling and logistics
  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills
  • Experience in strategic business planning
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Digitally savvy with scheduling tools, MS Excel, and databases
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Power BI or Tableau an asset
  • Fluency in French language an asset
