Senior Marketing Manager

The Senior Marketing Manager works cross-functionally with sales and marketing management to ensure Leviton Lighting Canada is appropriately marketed and branded in all channels.

Responsible for developing and implementing the strategies and objectives of the department, business unit, and company, and is responsible for accomplishing specific objectives in alignment with the overall strategy of the Business Unit.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements marketing programs aimed at increasing the adoption of our products through normal channels and new channels of distribution
• Assists vertical Directors in developing marketing strategies across all channels
• Actively manages the marketing activities of our brands
• Prepares up-to-date and concise oral and written reports on departmental progress and direction
• Ensures the availability of appropriate training materials to service critical points in the value chain
• Assists senior management in implementing long range strategic plans
• Develops and maintains budget for area of responsibility to support the marketing plan and implements the budget within the constraints established
• Supports key sales calls as appropriate
• Works across business units and with channels to ensure consistency in branding and execution of marketing collateral and product launches
• Manages business unit trade shows and merchandising recommendations
• Works directly with product management and sales to prioritize marketing requirements
• Completes other duties and projects as assigned by executive management
• Participates actively on the Product Approval Committee providing expertise in their functional area while ensuring an overall Business Unit focus
• Coaches and develops staff members, as appropriate
• Other job related duties or projects as may be assigned to support company objectives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Marketing or a related field of study
• 5+ years' of marketing experience
• Strong public speaking skills, with the ability to effectively present information to others
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage and direct projects
• Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• Sound judgment in analyzing and recommending solutions
• Ability to motivate and teach
• Capable of making decisions leading to timely resolution of unresolved issues
• Must be creative, innovative, resourceful, and able to think independently
