The Island Health Division of Rehabilitation Medicine has an opening for a general physiatrist to join our team providing a consultative service at North Island Hospital Comox Valley and surrounding areas.
Candidates with expertise and interest in the rehabilitation of individuals with neurological diseases, post-traumatic impairments and amputations rehabilitation in hospital based practice and out patients settings are encouraged to apply.
This is a general program providing the full scope of rehabilitation services.
Full range of medical, surgical, and psychiatric specialists on-site as well as diagnostic services including x-rays, nuclear medicine, sonography, CT, and MRI.
Access to epidural and facet injection services. The Physiatrist(s) provide a consulting and directive care service without night call.

Two part-time positions available.
Benefits
May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary agreement. Benefits are pro-rated based on FTE.

Retention Flat Fee : $10,.77
Rural CME starting at $3, / annum in years 3 and 4 in the community to a maximum of $6, / annum after 4 years.
