Founded in 1978 and headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta, All Weather Windows Ltd. (AWW) is a dynamic leader in the window and door industry in Canada.

Operations include two manufacturing plants located in Edmonton and Customer Solution Centres located in Langley, Edmonton, Calgary, Lethbridge, Red Deer, Saskatoon, Regina, and Winnipeg.

We are currently recruiting for a Budget and Financial Reporting Manager for our Finance department. This individual is responsible for preparing the financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial support to the operations of All Weather Windows.

They will also be responsible for managing the company's financial reporting and business support team.

In this position, you will be responsible for...

• Preparation and review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis and internal and external financial reports.
• Responsible for annual budgeting and forecasting process.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual operating results for branches and departments.
• Work with operations to define, measure, analyze, improve and control current processes which impact customer quality and influence internal operating efficiency.
• Prepare strategic analysis as required to drive improved decision making.
• Assist in the year end close process, including preparation of lead sheets, reports and coordination with the auditors.
• Assist in the annual preparation and review of external Audited financial statements and notes under ASPE
• Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of financial information
• Provides advice and guidance on all accounting matters including financial systems, record keeping, analysis, and reporting
• Sets the priorities within accounting group and ensuring month end close deadlines are met with accurate reporting
• Assist with the required bank reporting and through forecasting exercises ensure that advance notice is given to ensure banking covenants are met or exceeded.
• Assist with all other financial reporting to various companies and agencies.
• Supporting new systems or project selections and implementation from a strategic finance and internal control perspective
• Hiring, training, mentoring and supervising accounting staff
• Responsible for the quarterly review and management of various overhead rates.
• Responsible for working with manufacturing and inventory teams on understanding scrap or yield rates on various manufacturing items.
• Identify key process improvement project(s)

Primary Qualifications Required :

• University degree in Business / Accounting, with advanced degree or professional accounting designation (such as CA, CPA, CGA, CMA, CMT) preferred.
• Minimum 5 years extensive experience and knowledge of all aspects of corporate accounting and financial management post designation
• Experience overseeing audits performed by external audit firms
• Financial analysis, reporting, budgeting and forecasting
• Previous experience within the manufacturing industry is considered an asset
• Thorough knowledge of all relevant Federal, Provincial and local requirements regarding financial records
