They are responsible forensuring compliance with employment related legislation fosteringpositive employee relations and developing and executing HRstrategies policies and initiatives.
They play a key role in talentacquisition and retention new employee orientation disciplinaryaction employee development performance management job role andclassification employee engagement compensation and benefitsadministration and enforcement of the HSE program.
They alsoprovide leadership and support to the management team collaboratewith other departments and contribute to creating a positiveworkplaceculture.
Requirements
Responsibilities :
HumanResources Policies and Procedures : Develops implements enforces andmaintains HR policies processes and procedures.
Trains employees oncompany policies processes and procedures and works with allmanagement in enforcing company policies andprocedures.
- EmployeeRelations : Mediates conflicts conducts investigations manages theprogressive discipline process and provides employeesupport.
- Coachesand mentors employees and acts as a support for all employees onpersonal and businessmatter.
- Coachesand guides managers and staff on the company s employee disciplinetermination and performance improvementprocesses.
- Recruitmentand Retention : Develops executes and administers the company srecruitment and retention program in collaboration with alldepartments for operationalneeds.
- Developsimplements and manages the company s employee and contractororientation / onboarding program ensuring all necessary documentationare completed andfiled.
- Trainingand Development : In collaboration with management develops andexecutes ongoing training and development plans and programs toensure all employees have the skills knowledge and tools to performtheir roles effectively and in support of employee growth andprofessionaldevelopment.
- EnsuresHR policies practices and programs are compliant with HRlegislativerequirements.
- Managesand maintains information on HR database and systems. Ensures allpersonnel HR and contractor information documents and files arecomplete andcurrent.
- SuccessionPlans : In collaboration with management establishes and maintains asuccession plan for key positions within thecompany.
- HSEProgram : Supports all management and employees in enforcing thecompany s HSEprogram.
- HRBudget : Monitors and manages the HR budget and reports onmonthly / yearly budgets and expenses as requested andrequired.

About the Opportunity Our Client is currently seeking a SeniorBiologist to join the team. Preference is for candidates to bebased out of Fort St James, Fort St John, and Prince George, BC.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to : Leading and joining field teams in various disciplines (wildlife,birds, fish, aquatic habitat, water quality, vegetation, soils,wetlands, environmental monitoring, sediment, and erosion control)Contributing to environmental impact assessments, mitigation plans,and proposals.

e., wildlife assessments, birdsurveys, water quality, fisheries inventories / salvage,environmental monitoring / inspection) Knowledge of the provincialand federal environmental assessment regulatory environmentExcellent organizational, interpersonal, time management skills andphysically fit Ability to work independently with minimalsupervision Excellent writing and communication skills, desire togrow business, and work closely (both in a field lead and supportrole) with other environmental professionals, environmentaldiscipline leads, and First Nations Proficiency in the operation offield equipment is an asset Due to the nature of the role, you musthave a valid Driver's License.
