Entry level, full‑time, night shift (00 : 10–06 : 40, Monday to Friday). This position may be adjusted to evening, night or weekend shifts under collective agreement rules.
About the Job
Safran Landing Systems is a global leader in landing and braking systems for aircraft. The Mirabel plant builds major components for Airbus A320, A330, A350 and Boeing 787, using advanced machining, polishing, heat treatment, shot peening and surface treatments.
As a Metallurgy Operator you will perform metallurgical processes on landing gear components, including :
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble parts
- Carry out heat treatment or shot peening operations
- Conduct laboratory tests (hardness, tensile, saturation)
- Perform inspections using non‑destructive testing (magnetic particle inspection and / or dye penetrant testing)
- Detect and resolve technical issues
- Conduct visual inspections to ensure compliance with specifications
- Complete the appropriate Quality Assurance documentation
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of operations and achieve objectives in terms of safety, quality, costs, and on‑time deliveries
Qualifications & Skills
College studies in metallurgy (DEC or AEC) or DEP in foundry, mechanical assembly in aerospace, structural assembly in aerospace, welding‑assembly or equivalent experience as a metallurgy operatorExperience in metallurgyBasic computer skillsAttention to detail / rigorAnalytical mindsetInitiativeAutonomyOrganizational skills / priority managementResults‑orientedBenefits
