Overview of the Role

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Lead Hand is responsible for picking and restocking product, ordering, receiving and shipping loads, cleaning and other duties in accordance with the standards and safety objectives established by Senior Management.

Key Responsibilities

Guide and perform all warehouse functions as directed by the warehouse supervisor, including shipping, receiving, inventory and various other duties.

Direction of various shifts and ensure all duties and warehouse SOP’s are carried out by the warehouse staff. Prepare labour schedules and inbound / outbound freight schedules.

Maintain proper housekeeping of the warehouse facility and ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to.

Safely transport finished products and equipment manually or by using powered equipment.

Use Maestro and SAP to accurately maintain inventory levels.

Ship and receive loads, organize and consolidate stock.

Ensure safe conditions exist always within the work environment.

Comply with Health & Safety, HACCP, and company policies.

Report quality, food safety, health and safety incidents to appropriate departments as necessary.

Qualifications

Previous material handling experience is an asset.

Forklift operator certification, current or willingness to complete.

Working knowledge of computers.

Demonstrate communication, interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills.

Self‑motivated, results oriented and able to work with minimal supervision.

Strong team orientation.

Must be available to work all shifts (Days and Nights).
