OF POSITIONS : 1 SALARY RANGE : $107,072 - $130,852

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill, Experience) -Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Masters preferred)-Current registration with College of Nurses of Ontario.

  • Demonstrated progressive leadership skills with 3 years previous management experience within a clinical setting.-Minimum 5 years previous Nursing experience in a Women & Children's setting-Participation on various hospital committees and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Experience in project management and utilization of data to guide resource allocation and quality improvement initiatives-Provides leadership in the application of nursing knowledge to nursing staff and InterprofessionalTeam.
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge and application of CNO Guidelines and Standards of Practice-RNAO membership preferred.-Satisfactory attendance.

ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES (Personal Skills and Attributes) -Knowledge and application of evidenced based practice.-Excellent Knowledge of clinical best practices for obstetrics, paediatrics and special care nursery and the ability to provide effective leadership-Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems through collaboration and innovation.

  • Evidence of superior interpersonal and leadership skills and abilities including but not limited to : communication, responsiveness, conflict resolution, change management, visionary, organizationalskills, and decision making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach / mentor and inspire team spirit.-Demonstrated computer skills.-Demonstrated commitment to Patient and Family Centred Care philosophy and Service Excellence.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continued education.-Strong personal commitment to continuous quality improvement and recommends changes topractice and clinical activities to implement process improvements.
  • Demonstrates ability to give and receive feedback in an open and constructive manner.-Demonstrated ability to support and embrace the philosophy of Service Excellence and Patient andFamily Centred Care.
  • Demonstrated participation in building a culture of safety and partnering with each other toimprove the safety of patient care processes and systems.
  • Strong computer skills utilizing MS Office Suite products-Demonstrated performance reflecting the Mission, Vision, Values and Code of Conduct of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance
