Halifax Water is hiring for a Safety Auditor and Training Specialist. This regular opportunity in the Environment, Health and Safety Department and has full time hours.

As a Safety Auditor and Training Specialist, you will : Assist the Manager of Safety and Security in ensuring Halifax Water is meeting all legislative safety standards and regulations.
Maintain and communicate awareness, knowledge, and preparedness to uphold Halifax Water's safety culture of prioritizing safety standards and practices.
To do this job, you need to : Post-secondary education in a related fieldProfessional certifications in the area of occupational health and safetyFive years of experience in an Occupational Health and Safety background with related experience in JOHSC, training, conducting risk assessments and auditsHave or be working towards obtaining the Certified Health &
Safety Consultant (CHSC) designation or equivalentHave a valid NS driver's licenseTraining and experience in Trenching, Excavation, Fall Arrest, Confined Space, Lock Out Tag Out, and Operating and / or instruction in the safe operation of heavy equipment.
